Longines Global Champions Tour Rome
Longines Global Champions Tour : Exactly a week ago I was present at one of the stages of the Global Champions Tour.
Longines has starred as a Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of this prestigious event which will compete with the best riders in the world.
The thirteenth stage of the Longines Global Champions tour took place in Rome in one of the most evocative locations, the Stadio dei Marmi, where he was also presented the event’s official clock is part of the collection Longines Dolce Vita and turtleneck well. ..
Having the opportunity to be present at an event of this magnitude was unforgettable.
No doubt a great thrill, I have had the opportunity to know and meet the large international equestrian names.
From Edwina Tops Alexander to those who have made the equestrian history as Licinio Grossi.
For the occasion I wore a Longines watch with stainless steel dial and leather strap from shades of red cherry perfect for the event and the right accessory to always be elegant.

Longines Global Champions Tour Rome: The Grand Prix
The Grand Prix was to be held Saturday in the afternoon but because of bad weather conditions the race was postponed to Sunday morning.
41 Starters and only 18 classified for the final heats and the net for the barrage.
The competition involved all until the last breath, my favorite Edwina , departing fortieth, threatened by a whisker not win the next round.
All in trepidation and heart twitching, but eventually he managed to pass, unfortunately the four penalty of the first race did not give her access to the Barrage where riders have risked until the last to win the clear round with time best.
Good result of the Italians, too bad for Emanuele Gaudiano that with 8 penalty saw disappearing before his eyes a chance to go on the podium.
The Longines Global Champions Tour has been won by Dutchman Harrie Smalders that ended the barrage with a time of 33.11, followed by the French Simon Delestre with Chesall Zimequest with a time of 34.00 and third Maikel van der Vleuten of VDL with 34.00 seconds.
Maikel van der Vleuten has performed a great path and not just for making profit, but for the softness and lightness of his mounts, a real symbiosis with his horse and above all mutual respect.
A rider to keep an eye on.
Excellent fourth place for Alberto Zorzi he three clear rounds with Fair Light van’t Heike with a time of 35.15 seconds, twenty-seven knight from a year and a half in the Netherlands where mounts for the team of Jan Tops.
The General Ranking of Global Champions Tour
Before the Roman leg at the top of the ranking was Edwina Tops Alexander but had to give up her place to Rolf-Göran Bengtsson winner of last years competitions who ranked himself fifth in the Roman stage, but this was enough to undermine the Australian Amazon from the first place.
The next meeting is in Vienna September 15th to the 18th and then it will be the time of Doha. Who will ever win the Global Champions Tour?
Obviously I have my fingers crossed for Edwina !!!
