Hermès behind the scenes: #hermesartisan
Last week I had the pleasure of taking part in the preview of Hermes behind the scenes.
An event that was then opened to the public, where the Hermès universe opens the doors to the most curious, enthusiastic about the brand and all those who want to find out what’s behind this luxury brand so renowned.
The press conference was opened by one of the most important and renowned faces of the HENRI-LOUIS BAUER Co-Executive Chairman-Management Board.
The event was held in Milan at Pelota, where 10 artisans explained, but above all they were transported to the Hermès universe.
The most important corner for us is certainly that of the precious saddle, an icon for those who are passionate and loving this discipline.
The craftsman showed all the steps for the equestrian saddle.
Explains that even seams are made manually so that the resistance is greater, they are executed with a curved needle.
The padding is fixed manually through bayonet nails.
Every single leather border is customizable.
Choosing the color of the leather and the matching that you want to create.
In addition, the saddle as well as all custom made ones, takes into account the knight and / or the size of the knight.
Do you know who won the Saut Hermes 2017
Hermès behind the scenes: How to create the Kelly
Hermès behind the scenes:Other booths that aroused great curiosity is the bag of par excellence, I speak of Hermes Kelly.
A patient and handy craftsman has explained all the steps to creating the iconic handbag, a must have that everyone dreams and even allowing it to be so easy to have it.
Kelly’s mileage lists that make Kelly a must-have that still does not vanish in time.
Each piece is hand-assembled, the leather is of the highest quality, treated to last in time.
A bag that leaves everyone unbelieving and now we know why the waiting times are so long.
Another corner that has attracted attention is that of ceramic decorations, you know that every single Hermes ashtray or dish is painted by hand, even the most complex designs like the tiger and cheetah are meticulously made by hand, every single stain Cheetah is manually drawn.
Eight hours of work on each individual ashtray and the price of this article is not so expensive if you think they start at 150 euros.
Hermes behind the scenes: Jewelery from Equestrian Theme
Hermès behind the scenes:
Other stands that will surely be of interest to all Amazons are jewels, where another craftsman has shown the creation of a yellow gold-shaped bracelet, each diamond is hand-embedded with a high-precision microscope.
In addition to these three booths, there were watches on the timepieces, the creation of the foulards, but you can see everything through the photos taken.
