Welcome to my Marriott Rewards Experience
Today I’d like to share with all of you my one-week experience between Italy and Greece together with Marriott Rewards, leader in the hotel industry.
My journey started in Venice, where I have been welcomed in a dream hotel, located on the so-called “Island of the Roses”.
The island, which has been abandoned for over 40 years, has now become the home for the fabulous JW Marriott hotel. After the breathtaking entrance, a private dock awaited us. The staff welcome the guests with kindness and are keen to satisfy every customer’s request. In the premises is an awardstar restaurant called “iI dopo lavoro”.
The chef prepares his dishes by using the products cultivated with care directly on the island.
Even if this location has been abandoned for over 40 years, the vegetation never ceased to grow and develop; indeed, there are several olive groves on the island used to produce the hotel’s oil.
As soon as I arrived at the JW Marriott Venice I spent a lovely afternoon tasting their oil, delicate but yet dense oil. I was able to experience this as a Marriott Rewards member, you can travel all over the world and try out unique and amazing experiences which you can redeem or bid to win with your points from when you’ve stayed before on the Marriott Moments website. How cool!
If you are looking for a place to relax and have a breathtaking view this is the hotel for you. Within the island there is a wonderful and surreal SPA where you can relax, sip a herbal tea and enjoy a well-deserved massage. Why not have a fabulous ‘chicnic’ with sight on Venice?
After this magical location, I spent 24 hours in Athens, where for the first time I had the opportunity to see the Acropolis.
The Blue Palace Hotel: Marriott Rewards
Later on in the evening I enjoyed the fantastic view from the rooftop of a Luxury Collection property – the Hotel Grand Bretagne before leaving for Crete.
Arrived in Crete, I was delighted to stay in another Luxury Collection property the Blue Palace Hotel, which hosted me for two nights and three days. I stayed in a two floors suite with private pool and view on the island of Spinalonga. The hotel develops on the hills from top to bottom with seven restaurants including an Italian and a fusion one, definitely to try.
The suggestive infinity pool, a few steps from the beach left me speechless. The hotel also offers a VIP Beach, reserved only for a certain type of clientele. The Blue Palace Hotel offers its guests a fabulous Spa where you can relax between a day at the sea and a dip in the pool. Characteristic the beach bar that during the summer evenings lights up its bonfire. A place to relax your mind and body and spend few days with your partner.
All of this was made possible because Marriott Rewards have such an amazing portfolio of brands, I stayed at both JW Marriott and Luxury Collection Hotels, find out more about which other hotels they have around the world by visiting: http://bit.ly/2flDfIA

The Marriotts Rewards: Da Venezia a Creta passando per Atene
