My Midnight in Paris

The night is the best moment for me. Thoughts are free without constriction of the daily routine. It’s been two days since I left Paris and sleepless I find myself to relate the black and white photo I took few days ago. Walking around what everyone calls the city of love, I found myself to walk the streets filmed by one of the greatest artists of our time Woody Allen and to immerse myself in a story. We all believe we live in the wrong era. We tend to believe that the past was easier than our present and that the problems of the past were not so huge like the present. I am one of the first that would have given anything to have the opportunity to live in Paris in time of Chanel, Vionnet and Fitzgerald but only a few days ago while walking along the Seine and leafing through old books consumed by the time I get it. I realized that I was in the right age, in the right place at the right time. It ‘was like a bolt from the blue, and I realized that all the mistakes, sacrifices and changes of the road were the right way to my serenity. In life there will always be bad people and envious who will try to take advantage of you and your kindness, who will try to fill your shoes because they are not be able to product shoes  as you did, but once you’ve figured out that you’re on the right track, that all your efforts will be rewarded you just have to keep walking down that street. Paris is a magical city for me, but not for the reasons that all attribute, I have not been in love in Paris but I’m in love with Paris and creativity and tranquility that gives me day after day, random encounter of an evening , the lights that illuminate the city, the palpitations of young lovers who swear eternal love in front of the Eiffel Tower. It will be that when you have the serenity in the heart everything is pink, pink as the celebrated Vie En Rose by the superb Edith Piaf.

La notte è il momento più bello, i pensieri sono liberi senza la costrizione della routine quotidiana che li delimita. Sono passati due giorni da quando ho lasciato Parigi e insonne mi trovo a riguardare le foto in bianco e nero che ho scattato qualche giorno addietro. Passeggiando per quella che tutti chiamano la città dell’amore mi sono ritrovata a percorrere le strade filmate da uno dei più grandi artisti dei nostri tempi Woody Allen e ad immedesimarmi in una storia. Tutti noi crediamo di vivere nell’epoca sbagliata. Tendiamo a credere che il passato fosse più facile del nostro presente e che i problemi di una volta non fossero così enormi come quelli attuali. Io sono una delle prime che avrebbe dato qualsiasi cosa per avere la possibilità di vivere a Parigi nel tempo di Chanel, Vionnet e Fitzgerald ma solo qualche giorno fa passeggiando lungo la Senna e sfogliando vecchi libri consumati dal tempo ho capito. Ho capito che mi trovavo nell’epoca giusta, nel posto giusto al momento giusto. E’ stato come un fulmine a ciel sereno e ho compreso che tutti gli sbagli, i sacrifici ed i cambi di strada erano la via giusta per la mia serenità. Nella vita ci saranno sempre persone cattive ed invidiose che cercheranno di approfittarsi di te e della tua gentilezza, che cercheranno di farti le scarpe perchè loro le scarpe non sono in grado di fabbricarsele come hai fatto tu, ma una volta che hai capito che sei sulla strada giusta, che tutte le tue fatiche verranno ricompensate non ti resta che continuare a camminare per quella strada. Parigi è per me una città magica, ma non per le ragioni che tutti le attribuiscono, io non mi sono innamorata a Parigi ma mi sono innamorata di Parigi, della creatività e della tranquillità che mi trasmette giorno dopo giorno, degli incontri casuali di una sera, delle luci che illuminano la città, dei batticuori dei giovani fidanzati che si giurano amore eterno davanti alla Tour Eiffel. Sarà che quando hai la serenità nel cuore tutto è rosa, rosa come la Vie En Rose celebrata dalla superba Edith Piaf.
